Vipp is a design company in Denmark and their first project was a plug and play livable industrial object called the Vipp Shelter offering a getaway home fitted with the products of the company, hooks, lamps and kitchen appliances.

The project spreads over a surface of 55 square meters and has a steel cladding with a simple grid structure supporting the two floors. The volume stands above the ground into a forest. The designers explained their work by saying that “the objective was not to make a house or a mobile home, Vipp is rooted in the manufacture of industrial objects, so the term shelter is a typology that allows us to define this hybrid as a spacious, functionally generic, livable object”.

The Shelter can accommodate up to four persons with a two person bed on the upper floor and room for two additional guests in the day bed on the lower floor.
