The Sprint Accelerator is a collaborative space designed by the RMTA architectural practice in the Fortune 500 company for Sprint Corporation and it wants to act as a beacon for technology and entrepreneurship in the area on Kansas City, bringing ten companies each year for three months of intensive work to develop their ideas on subjects ranging from mobile software to the healthcare industry.

After the three month program, the start-up companies can pitch their ideas to several established companies for financial and professional backing and thus the environment created needed to support creativity, innovation and flexibility.

The building in which it is located is a century old and it is in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City, being brought up to date with exposed brick, wood timber columns and hardwood floors to ensure an industrial aesthetic. The specific elements of the Sprint brand were integrated into the setting through subtle additions that created the corporate branding.
