The Hotel Vincci Gala Barcelona in Spain was designed in 2014 by the practice of TBI Architecture & Engineering with an aesthetic that had to conserve the façade and large white marble staircase as well as preserving the name of the hotel “Gala” since it refers to the wife and muse of the painter Salvador Dali.
The period hotel is in the Eixample district of Barcelona and it features 78 four star rooms, a bar, restaurant, meeting rooms as well as terraces. The main tone is golden which is visible both on the façade as well as inside in combination with organic shapes and materials like stone and marble in the historic areas an metal to emphasize the new areas.
The TBI designed the lighting, decoration and graphic design as well to ensure a balanced and homogenous setting. The ground floor hosts the common areas divided into a lobby, lounge area and bar, each of them with its own personality.
