The GAD architectural practice designed the Chenglu Villa on the Qingshui Bay International Resort in the Lingshui County, south-east of the Hainan Island, China.

The resort spreads over a surface of 4800 mu with 12 villas and it is only 50 meters away from the beach so the designers took maximum advantage of the view. House Ten is designed with two parallel masses and a perpendicular set to create a square arrangement.

The outdoor space was lowered to ensure a sea-view experience and a similar design was done with the House Nine which has an H-shape stand toward the ocean. The materials used are stone, wood, glass and metal to alternate between smooth and rough areas and ensure a dynamic environment with scenic spaces.

The entrance gives access to the front yard with the garage for two cars and each house has its separate living room, dining room, family room, a Chinese and a western kitchen, at least five suite bedrooms and studies, most of them with a view toward the sea.
