Atoll is a daring economic and commercial project spreading over a surface of more than 200,000 square meters of the 53 hectares zone in the Buisson commercial zone located in Angers, France and it was designed in 2012 by the Antonio Virga Architecte practice.

The project wants to act as a gateway for the town and bring an alternative to the typical shopping centers. Atoll is at the edge of Beaucouze and the geometry of the structure is that of an irregular ellipse to allow a reflection of the surrounding landscape and an adaptation to the site.

There is a white aluminum net covering the structure and bringing a dynamic aesthetic enveloping the main structure and offering access to the interior with a glass wall that offers a view of the different shop fronts. The center of the Atoll has wooden clad structures sheltered by restaurants, first aid units and conveniences placed in trees with a height of up to 12 meters.
