KPF unveiled their design for the Ziraat Bank Headquarters in the new Istanbul International Financial Centre in Turkey consisting of two towers that will host the headquarters of the largest and oldest financial institution in the country.

The project would be the first one that KPF designs in Turkey and it will encompass over 400000 square meters of office space spread in the two towers that will have 40 and 46 floors. The architecture of the towers takes its inspiration from the context of the site and from the cultural heritage of the country.

The designers want to create an important architectural presence in the Financial Centre that will also distinguish itself from the other buildings that are set in the masterplan through the employment of motifs from the Ottoman Empire such as the geometrical patterns and symbols as well as the Ottoman symbol of the Tugra which was the seal of the Sultan.
