The new YouTube production studio in Tokyo, Japan was designed by the local practice of Klein Dytham Architecture composed of the architects Mark Dytham and Astrid Klein who used the television shaped logo of the firm to decorate the walls of the studio and also feature the colors of the logo (red and black) throughout the interior. The space is located in the Mori Tower which was designed by KPF.
The reception area is filled with lacquered ceramic on the walls that continue all the way towards the lounge and the kitchen fading the color from red to pink and white. The branding shape is also used for other purposes such as to create shelves of the framework for a wall of photos.
This is the third video production suite that YouTube opened, the two others being in London and Los Angeles, and it contains filming studios, editing rooms, training areas and lounges.
