The D2C flagship store in Hangzhou, China was designed by the 3Gatti Architecture Studio offers interesting features with a contemporary labyrinthine design.
The designers implemented some original features such as a rotating toilet and a hidden love room that gives you access to a bar and condoms in case you need them, with the upper level being comprised of a complex geometry of cubes.
This store is the first physical outlet of D2C since they used to only sell online and the designers wanted to create an ambiance that is reminiscent of the volcanic activity. The cubes are present throughout the interior in the changing rooms even and the illumination is created through the use of spotlights placed on the grey ceiling.
The second level is accessed via a staircase that leads you to a reversed version of the first floor with the volumes protruding from the floor this time. The clothes have been displayed on metal rails and they span over the blocks with spotlights drawing attention on them.
