The practice of Voorsanger Architects PC designed this elegant loft in 2013 and it is located in Tribeca, Manhattan, New York, occupying the sixth floor of an eight floor building that tries to mimic the historic qualities of the formerly industrial urban landscape.
The designers renovated the entire space with a surface of 3500 square feet and since the owners were at their first interaction with a design team a lot of interaction was needed so that everyone would be satisfied at the end. The main element is the stone wall inserted longitudinally into the surface to separate the public and the private areas of the loft.
The color palette is predominantly neutral with shades of gray, black and white providing the sober ambiance. The project wants elegance instead of comfort so no compromise was made, each piece of furniture being expertly chosen and placed to take advantage of the overall layout and illumination for the most striking aesthetic.
