Umicore is basically a materials technology company with the headquarters located in Hoboken, Belgium. The new Umicore Office Building was designed by Conix Architects after the client wanted a new image for Umicore, a powerful representation of the identity of the corporation.
Overall, the building features a unique, dynamic and really modern design but during the construction, the topography of the site presented some challenges for the architects. The building was designed in such a way to make the employees and visitors feel as if they’re not stepping into a working environment, the rooms are spacious, giving a sense of comfort.
The design of all the office spaces is functional, the architects took into consideration the need of logistical flow in the layout of the building.
