Designed by Mark English Architects, the Fontana Apartment is located in San Francisco, California, in an building which had a typical 1960s design, near the Aqua Park. The architects changed the interior of this apartment completely, giving it a refreshed look and feel.
The clients had some requests and one of them implied the idea of a sanctuary from the hectic, urban city life. The former look of the apartment included non –bearing walls, which were removed and the plumbing was changed so that the space would seem more airy.
The materials reveal the luxurious theme-such as ultra suede sofa, the flooring is made of white marble,Venetian plaster was also used and Laurentian Green Granite slabs. The elements of décor and some parts of the interior design were done with the help of the people from Interior Designer Gary Hutton and his associates.
