The city of Birmingham, England received a new public library with rooftop gardens and a sunken amphitheater designed by the Mecanoo studio. The project attracts the attention through the impressive façade created with interlocking metal rings which are even more original when placed between a block from the 1930s and a theater built in the 1960s.
