The winemaker Clements Strobl commissioned the architectural practice of Wolfgang Wimmer in collaboration with March Gut to renovate and increase the size of a former wine cellar in the Lower Austrian Brunn that would become the representative location for the Weinmanufaktur Clemens Strobl.

The new structure spreads over four levels and during the renovations the designers uncovered some period old parts of the building. The basement level stores the wines and also hosts a presentation area below ground level, the ground floor is where the tasting area is located, the culinary and terraces are on the first floor and the top floor is occupied by a temporary bedroom.

The spaces are designed with different principles according to their purpose, so the basement is light and cozy while the first floor is very open and it maintains a constant connection with the exterior to offer a direct view of the vineyards.
