The beautiful Sans Souci Hotel is located in the renowned cultural center of Vienna, in the Museum Quarter and the Sans Souci Hotel and Residence is the first project in Austria designed by yoo Studio. The historical building it occupies was constructed in 1872 and it offers superb views of its Viennese surroundings.
The hotel has 62 rooms and 15 private residences designed by yoo, and they also designed the lobby, the bar, restaurant and the Sans Souci Spa Club to create a stylish contemporary design that provides the best comfort and luxury.
The design practice of yoo worked together with David Archer to create a blend of the classical Viennese extravagance and the contemporary design and also added masterful works of art to create a balance and transform the interior into a luxurious but modern space. The furnishings which can be seen in the rooms and public spaces are carefully chosen antiques sitting along with pieces created by Tom Dixon, Arne Jacobsen, Flos and Philippe Starck. The personal collection of modern art belonging to Norbert Winkelmayer is also visible throughout the hotel along with artworks by Roy Lichtenstein, Allen Jones and Steve Kaufman transforming the hotel into a veritable art museum.
