The Rixos Eskisehir Spa & Thermal Hotel is located in Odunpazari, Eskisehir, Turkey, a city on the Porsuk River that is rich in sepiolite and that has a rich history as a part of the large civilizations such as the Hittites, Alexandrine, Roman, Byzantine, Anatolia Seljuk or the Ottoman Empire.

The legacy of the region has a great touristic potential and the hotel wants to attract visitors in the area due to the thermal water resources as well which are an important influence for the project designed by the Gad Architecture practice.

The hotel is a contemporary take on the vernacular architecture of the city with a site plan created to minimize the impact on the nearby trees and aside from the accommodation units the project offers a wellness center and spa in the middle as well as a wedding venue and guest bungalows in a pine forest on the hills.
