Pinterest is a site where you can collect and organize the things you are interested in and they recently opened a new office headquarters in San Francisco which was designed by the project designers All Of The Above / First Office and the Schwarts And Architecture practice as executive architects.
The aim was to create a non-habitual office environment that incorporates come of the qualities of the house in which Pinterest was founded. The architecture also focuses on the collaborative interaction between employees so there are four oversized volumes called “houses” as pockets inside the main plan.
Large tables cover a lot of the spatial footprint and they offer areas in which the employees can organize meetings, have a lunch break or just celebrate something at the bar area. White surfaces and glass predominate through the space and they become white boards, pin boards or sketches due to the brainstorming and idea exchanges.
