The Pinar House was designed by the MO+G taller de arquitectura practice in 2014 and it is located in Zapopan, Mexico in the La Primavera forest, offering the best of both the urban life and a safe natural retreat.
Spreading over a surface of 535 square meters, the house is surrounded by pine and oak trees and it used to be occupied by a terrace, swimming pool, parking space and a multipurpose sports court. The layout for the project separated the structure into two main volumes around the swimming pool and court.
The first volume has three bodies containing the private sections of the house while the second volume has the public areas in the shape of a terrace and a home office. The separation permitted a better interaction with the outdoors and the masonry stone walls bring a warm tone to the whole structure, integrating perfectly with the natural environment and only getting better with age.
