The practice of Verner Architects collaborated with the Cecil Baker + Partners studio to design this bright contemporary penthouse in Philadelphia, USA.
The project took over four years to complete but the impressive interior was definitely worth it since each corner is decorated with stunning artworks by over 20 artists who made pieces specifically for the site.
The construction of the penthouse was headed by the Wolfe Scott + Associates firm as a home as well as an exhibition space for their contemporary glass crafts. The project spreads over a surface of 8500 square feet with extensive terraces and views of the city from all directions since it covers an entire floor.
The living areas flow from one into the other with pockets for secondary functions and the penthouse is perfect for entertaining guests. The kitchen is a central piece of the living spaces since food preparation can become a performance here and there are secondary kitchens with wine displays and a bar for the moments when a quick drink or snack is needed.
