Designed by the practice of Kokaistudios Architecture in collaboration with Vanke and located in the city of Yantian, Shenzhen, China, this project is next to the Dapeng Bay waterfront and opposite the new tourist port which is being built at the moment thus being a part of a large development project with mix uses which includes residential and commercial areas.

The Marina spreads over 2300 square meters and has four floors which will host the Vanke sales office to promote the new development and it will then be transformed into a commercial facility with multiple tenants. Since this plan was settled even before the construction began, the designers had to think of a place that would be highly flexible in order to support these changes.

The interiors are inspired by sailboats or yachting clubs featuring light tones with natural wood as flooring and there are area models and sample apartments available along with the lounges and other leisure areas.

The façade is completely covered in tinted glass with a geometric pattern that is reminiscent of two crystals. The entrance leads to the central atrium from where a glass elevator or a staircase can transport the visitors to the fourth floor to enjoy gorgeous panoramic views of the Honk Kong islands or the mountains toward the north.
