The Mulini Beach is an extension of the public area and promenade that connects the city of Rovinj, Croatia to the Punta Corrente park and it was designed by the Studio 3LHD in 2014.
The project exits from the center of the city to go through the front of the Monte Mulini, Lone and Eden hotels with rich green forested areas protecting it. The sea level in the area varies according to the time of day with approximately 80 cm and this was very important for the design, dividing the entire beach area into two zones.
The first zone tries to mimic the natural topography with the fractured terrain and little vegetation, so it acts as a great spot for sunbathing, while the Lone bay was designed as a pebble beach with abundant vegetation and sloping into the sea.
The project incorporates the Mulini Beach Bar which includes locker rooms, showers, toilets and an info desk in the center of the zone, becoming a lounge area during the evenings.
