This impressive modern house was designed by the practice of Michael Fitzhugh Architect and it is located on the top of a ridge overlooking the West Grand Traverse Bay in the northern area of Michigan, USA.
The project is called the M-22 House and it is an imposing structure which employs concrete, steel, glass and composite siding as the main materials providing both comfort and sustainability in a beautiful design.
The interior offers a living room boasting a suspended fireplace and having an open plan with a double height to take advantage of the natural surroundings and allow as much sunlight inside as possible. The second floor has a ceiling covered in wood to add warmth and the furniture comes from firms such as Togo or Ligne Roset to provide the perfect ambiance.
The designers paid attention to the eco-friendly features as well incorporating an innovative geothermal heating and cooling system with a hydroelectric power generator that uses rainwater, gravity and geothermal water to provide the power for the house.
