The Louis Vuitton Matsuya Ginza store located in Tokyo, Japan was designed by the architect Jun Aoki with a façade inspired by the history of the Ginza city which used to be renowned for the Art Deco design.

The entrance to the store is close to Shimbashi and the Damier logo of the company is what gave the concept of the geometric cladding, combined with the edo-komon pattern which is traditional for Tokyo. The exterior varies during the different moments of the day, so the opal beige tone seen during the daytime is changed in the nighttime with lights provided by LEDs and a relief illuminated to render the Louis Vuitton monogram.

The monolithic exterior is continued indoors with a glamorous design that features elegant tones of gold and a large glass entrance which maintains a connection between the passers-by and the interior of the store, inviting you inside.
