The DGT architectural practice based in Paris created the “Light is Time” installation for the Citizen Watch Company and it was set in the La Triennale Design Museum in Italy for the Milan Design Week 2014.

The project is comprised of 80000 watch-base plates which support the components of a watch and the exhibition combines sound and lighting elements to create several enclosed spaces with an amazing setting evoking the concepts of light and time in a unique and truly beautiful way.

The area of the entire project covers 423 square meters with three rounded and excavated volumes which were used to display time pieces such as the Citizen first pocket watch up to the latest satellite watches.

The watch base installations are in a dark environment so that they truly stand out and attract all the attention to let the visitors feel immersed in a universe of time and light in a way in which they never were before.
