The new Lance Armstrong Foundation offices located in Austin, Texas, were designed by Lake Flato Architects. The foundation stayed 10 years in a corporate office building, in a leasing space, but they decided it was time to have a permanent location.
They picked a warehouse in East Austin called Gulf Coast Paper Co. and communicated the architects their wishes when it came to the design of the place. The new design seems to animate the entire building and the surroundings. What does the new facility have to offer?
Meeting rooms, dining areas, office space , even a gymnasium, a beautiful open –air courtyard and of course a parking lot. The sustainable design that was used in redecorating the warehouse won a LEED Gold certification and the Lance Armstrong Foundation strives to add a support program against cancer, to assist the uninsured and underinsured residents of East Austin.
