Juxing Tower Showroom by People’s Architecture Office

The Juxing Tower Showroom in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province was designed by the People’s Architecture Office as a homogenous gray space with a lot of yellow boxes that expand the space adding vertical and horizontal depth and attracting the customers inside through the transparent façade.

The concept of the project is based on the relation between doubles, so that the reflective surface extends the internal space with a side covered in polished stone and the other clad in aluminum panels. The mirrors on the ceiling make the illuminated yellow light boxes above stand out even more and they seem to be floating in the center of the space increasing the height of the interior.

The light boxes are paired with the functions under them to make the reception area evident, the model display and the offices. The way in which the boxes are arranged creates a forced perspective which makes the showroom seem deeper than it actually is.
