The new flagship store of the Givenchy luxury brand of haute couture clothing, accessories, perfumes and cosmetics was designed through the collaboration between the Piuarch architectural practice and the Maison art director Riccardo Tisci, to launch a dazzling new structure with a steel plate façade.
The store is located in Seoul, South Korea in the Gangnam-Gu shopping district and the boutique spreads over a surface of 400 square meters with three floors containing an exhibition area for women’s fashion, accessories as well as men’s fashion. The clothes range from luxury ready-to-wear urban ones to couture and both the interior as well as the façade try to reflect the brand’s character.
The interior is minimalist with a reference to the Italian art movements of the 1960s and a glossy black cube on the ground floor to connect with the surroundings. The main materials are marble calacatta, salanoir, stone Basalt and a staircase lined with Sahara noir marble to ensure access between the different levels.
