The new Fendi headquarters in Milan, Italy was recently opened with Karl Lagerfeld as the creative director. Fendi is a part of the LVMH Group since 2001 and its products are distributed in over 35 countries around the world having more than 190 shops.
The new setting is where the Silvia Venturini Fendi’s S/S 2014 collection will be introduces and it is located on Via Solari. The headquarters includes a permanent installation, office areas, showrooms and the runway theater.
The project is thus much more than a shop, offering cultural, artistic and design projects. During the inauguration an affiliation with the cinema was also established through a special project in Milan.
The Selleria room has the walls lined with Cuoio Romano and Selleria stitches and metal details displaying the collection and there is also a Made-to-Order service which allows the customers to personalize their Fendi bags. Another impressive element in the design is the Baguette Wall which has no less than 127000 bronze needles and was assembled by hand.
