The architectural practice of AFL designed the new stadium to host the FC Kuban which is one of the oldest football clubs in Russia.

The new stadium will have 45000 seats with FIFA and UEFA standards and a design that connects with the riverside of Krasnodar in its architecture. According to the designers the stadium was created as a way of intimidating the opposing teams and with this ideal in mind the project keeps the supporters close to the pitch and there is an angular roof that is created by an array of panels.

The color of the façade is golden with a style reminiscent of the Russian constructivism and inspired by the Russian architect El Lissitsky to create the striking image and effect through the broken openings. The curved roof also acts as a shield to prevent the resonance created by a full stadium and the project also features an integrated podium for various commercial activities.
