The Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifica has 12 airports in Mexico and they recently developed a new Commercial Area in their new International Terminal with a surface of 7500 square meters and a design that integrates new sustainable features unique in the country.

Located at the new T2 airport terminal in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, the new commercial area was designed by the practice of sanzpont [arquitectura] as a space which integrates the shops and services inside the terminal and also offers the passengers an experience that is based on the branding and commercial strategy of the airport.

The Food Court Area takes its inspiration from a picnic with natural vegetation surrounding it and chairs and tables placed on a floor made from artificial grass to recreate the impression of being outside so that the passengers will be more relaxed.

The entire commercial area is naturally illuminated due to a gigantic glass façade that is placed toward the runway and the space inside was designed similar to a commercial corridor with a futuristic aesthetic.
