This project is called Casa Cor and it was designed by the practice of Gisele Taranto Architecture for the Casa Cor Rio 2013 competition as the second floor of a two story penthouse apartment in which the illumination, furniture and decorations all collaborate to create an inspiring ambiance.

The project was designed in collaboration with the art curator Vanda Klabin, the lighting designer Maneco Quindere and the creative team of Landscape Studio to ensure a cozy interior which connects to the surrounding landscape while also ensuring the needed privacy through the use of louvers which also shape the roof shading system outside leading to the terrace.

The flooring is made of salvaged Brazilian walnut and the furniture pieces are created by various designers to perfectly match the elegant space so that the office corner writing desk is by Emanuel Gallina from Poliform, the terrace has armchairs by Patricia Urquiola’s Maia and there is a chair next to the desk by Rodolfo Dordoni’s Flavin.
