The architectural practice of BCMF Arquitetos designed the Casa Cor Bar in 2010 and it is located in the city of Belo Horizonte in Brazil. The owners wanted the place to offer new uses and an original design which uses the light steel frame as the predominant material, due to it being simple and inexpensive.

The building is clad in industrialized resistant stainless steel plate with mirror finishing on the exterior and matte on the interior and the entire body was built in three weeks offering a portable and compact object. The decorations are really minimal and the lighting is kept dim since the reflective surface enhances it quite strongly.

At the moment the bar, covering 69 square meters, sits on a rooftop but it can later be placed in another location since it permits so much flexibility, and can be opened in a park, plaza or somewhere more remote. The project is simple and efficient and proves that all that is needed is a lot of imagination to make something beautiful and original.
