Also known as the Blue Jay Way Residence, this impressive residence can be found in Los Angeles, California, and it’s the “work of art” of McClean Design. The designers started with the idea suggested by the clients-they wanted a home built around a central pool. The pool can be found on the main level of the house and the entry of the house is actually a beautiful glass bridge that stands over the pool. It’s a 75-foot-long lap pool.
The water feature and the pool divide the house structure. They also separate the public space(living, kitchen, dining) from the private one (master bedroom, study). The living room and the master bedroom seem to hover into space because they are cantilevered over outdoor spaces.
A media room, some guestrooms and a four-car garage can be found on the lower level. The colours the designers chose match the style of the house: modern with elements of nature. The materials are combined with concrete, wood and stone. The house offers a panoramic view of LA, Santa Monica, the Pacific, and Catalina Island. The house lies on an area of 6800 square feet.
The residence is indeed luxurious but it also implies a sense of comfort, of warmth.
