Beer Bar in Prague by IO Studio

The architect Luka Krizek from the IO Studio architectural practice created the beer bar at Brandys nad Labem near Prague for Radegast and the project is the first of a chain of bars owned by Plzensky Prazdroj which is best known with the German name of Pilsner Urquell.

The designers have experience in designing hospitality projects and this bar is located in a former lock factory which brings an industrial vibe to the mix. The repurposed building is a combination of vintage elements and contemporary ones, making the tradition stand out through patterns and colors provided by the Cibulak porcelain which is also known as the Blue Onion pattern and was manufactured by Meissen porcelain since the 18th century.

The rounded onion pattern extends through the tables, chairs, vaulted ceiling and even on the exposed pipes to bring the space together into a well integrated whole, and there are golden tones to compliment the black surfaces and add some warmth to the interior.
