Apartment in Hague by Global Architects

The Global Architects practice designed this apartment located on the top floor of a residential building in Hague, The Netherlands and their aim was to restore the traditional function of the space while also bringing the contemporary comfort and efficiency into the mix.

The main part of the apartment features a large area where the living room and dining room area located with two closets built in along the walls to ensure sufficient storage space as well as a hidden fridge, a bookcase and room for the laundry machine.

There is abundant natural light coming inside from both sides and the setting is warmed by the brick section revealed in the dining room with the concrete original fireplace to create a contrast to the white stucco interior finish. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel kitchen cupboards, a stove of corten steel and wooden boards to recreate the aesthetic of the early 20th century with all the benefits of modern industrial features.
